Events take place from January to December. The program is rich with art shows and balls, which dominate until March, and open-air events occur from spring until autumn.
All year long there is a large market in Tiszafüred on Thursday and Saturday. Every month there are folklore events, and every day there are carriage rides through the region. |

In June there are folk festivals in Karcag, Berekfürdö and Tiszacsege. In August there are many riding contests. And in Tiszaujvaros there are a state fish soup cooking contest, church concerts, an operetta summer and a Roma festival.
