Landscape
The region of Tiszafüred is characterized by the enormous lake and reed area (approx. 140 square km) to the west and by the Hortobagy National Park to the east of the city. In Hungary there have been thermal baths since the time of the Romans. In the vicinity of Tiszafüred there are more than 10 thermal baths, some of which are still in their natural state while others are for medicinal therapeutic treatment. There are also baths that are not lacking in any water pleasures. Only 30 to 40 km to the north lie the Matra and Bükk Mountains where the best wines are produced. |
